Philippians: A letter of abundant joy
The joy of the Lord is our strength. If you need warm encouragement, a boost of joy, a happy and hopeful word to lift your spirit, then come to the evening services, starting on the 21st of January, at 6.30pm and join us in studying Philippians. These 104 verses offer authentic reasons to be thankful, joyful, and contented. And to think they were written by a man who was living under house arrest, bound by chains to a Roman guard all day long! How could Paul be so joyful? It is because his focus was on his Saviour (whom he mentions more than 40 times in this letter) rather than on his circumstances.:
